Mack History 2010

2010 - SCR (Selective Catalytic Regeneration) is introduced for the MP7, MP8, and MP10. This technology provides significant advantages in fuel economy and performance while surpassing the 2010 emissions requirements.

mDRIVE is introduced. This fully automated gear type 12 speed transmission provides the ultimate drivability, economic operation, and durability for highway and on-off highway applications.

The Mack Customer Center is established in the former ED&TC. The facility combines a corporate showroom of new products with the relocated Mack Museum. Customers and the public now have the opportunity to experience Mack from its beginning to today in one location. Other functions in the facility include some Vehicle Modification Center activities, Customer Order Fulfillment, and Regional offices.

The 16 liter MP10 engine is introduced along with the Titan truck model. The MP10 is available at 605 hp. The Titan satisfies the heavy haul market.

2011 - Mack introduced the Mack® Granite™ Medium Heavy Duty (MHD) model, built to deliver the durability you expect from a Mack truck, but configured for shorter runs and lighter-duty cycles to fit customers' businesses.

2012 - The Super Econodyne integrated powertrain package is introduced. Super Econodyne improves fuel efficiency by up to 3.5 percent through its Mack® Pedigree™ Powertrain -- MP8-445SE engine, Mack mDRIVE™ automated manual transmission and MACK C125 axles.

Production of the natural gas-powered Mack® Pinnacle™ Axle Back model begins.

Mack introduced the mRIDE spring suspension for the Mack Granite and TerraPro refuse models and Twin Y™ Air Suspension for the on-highway Pinnacle Axle Back and Axle Forward models.
