Mack Trucks Shines Spotlight on Fuel Savings, Uptime with Mack Anthem Models at TMC

GREENSBORO, NC (March 12, 2019) – Mack Trucks will demonstrate the fuel efficiency and uptime benefits customers demand with two Mack Anthem® models on display in Mack booth 1003 during the Technology & Maintenance Council (TMC) annual meeting March 17-21 at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, Georgia.

Both Mack Anthem models feature the Mack®MP®8HE engine with Mack Energy Recovery Technology, which captures otherwise wasted heat from the exhaust and converts it into mechanical energy fed back into the crankshaft. The extra torque allows the MP8HE to operate at lower RPMs to save fuel without sacrificing performance.

Each Mack Anthem is also equipped with Mack GuardDog®Connect, Mack’s proactive telematics solution designed to maximize uptime for customers by automatically monitoring a truck’s performance. If a potential problem is detected, GuardDog Connect alerts Mack OneCall® uptime agents who quickly diagnose the issue. If a repair is needed, the OneCall agent provides directions to the nearest dealer with available parts, as well as repair instructions, all while the truck is still on the road.

Mack GuardDog Connect is also the enabling technology for Mack Over The Air, which allows customers to update truck software and parameters when it’s convenient for their schedule. In addition, customers whose applications require frequent parameter changes, such as road speed limits, idle time and more, can order Mack’s Parameter Plus package and bundle 50 parameter changes per truck, per year.
