Mack Trucks to Focus on Fuel Efficiency at ATA MC&E 2019
GREENSBORO, NC (Sept. 30, 2019) – Mack Trucks today announced it will focus on the fuel efficiency of its Mack Anthem® model at the American Trucking Associations (ATA) Management Conference and Exhibition (MC&E) 2019 Oct. 5-9 at the San Diego Convention Center.
“Our fleet customers’ bottom lines are significantly impacted by the expense associated with fuel, so Mack will be introducing new options to improve fuel efficiency, resulting in a better return on investment,” said Roy Horton, director of product strategy for Mack Trucks. “Further improving the fuel efficiency of our already best-in-class Mack Anthem model makes this truck an even wiser choice for customers.”
Both Mack Anthem models on display at the show will be equipped with Mack proprietary powertrains. The Mack Anthem models also feature Mack GuardDog® Connect, Mack’s integrated telematics solution that proactively monitors vehicle performance, detects fault codes and prompts outreach from trained technicians at Mack’s OneCall Center. These “uptime agents” work with customers to determine the best way to address a situation, including scheduling repair time at a dealer and ensuring parts are in stock, all while the truck is still on the road.
All Anthem models also feature Mack Over The Air, which enables remote powertrain component programming and the setting of vehicle parameters such as speed limits – without having to bring the truck into the shop.
