Mack Anthem® Models Take Command at TMC

GREENSBORO, NC (Feb. 18, 2020) – Two of Mack Trucks’ flagship Mack Anthem

models will take command at the Technology & Maintenance Council (TMC) 20 annual meeting, demonstrating how Mack’s technology-driven advances in fuel
efficiency, driver productivity and safety are lowering customers’ total cost of ownership. TMC 20 takes place Feb. 24-27 at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta.

Both Mack Anthem models on display in booth 1903 feature Mack

MP

engines, including one spec’d with the Mack MP8HE with Mack Energy Recovery Technology, which captures otherwise wasted heat from the exhaust, converts it into mechanical
energy and feeds it back into the crankshaft. This extra torque allows the MP8HE to operate at lower RPMs to save fuel without sacrificing performance.

Each Mack Anthem is also equipped with Mack GuardDog

Connect, Mack’s proactive telematics solution that helps maximize uptime for customers by automatically monitoring a truck’s performance. If a potential issue is detected, GuardDog Connect alerts Mack OneCall

agents based at the 24/7 Mack Uptime Center, who quickly diagnose the issue. Should a repair be needed, the OneCall agent provides directions to the nearest dealer with available parts and service bay space, as well as repair instructions, all while the truck is still on the road.

Mack GuardDog Connect also serves as the enabling technology for Mack Over The Air, which allows customers to update truck software and parameters remotely when it’s convenient for their schedule.
