Truck Builder customizable tool helps you design your fleet

Find the Mack Pioneer™ on the Mack Truck Builder, Mack Trucks' evolving and industry-leading tool that empowers customers in designing their fleet, to spec your own model. Those interested in spec'ing a Pioneer for themselves will know where to start, as the Pioneer will be featured first in the Truck Builder's carousel.

The Pioneer, the newest member of the Mack product family, can be spec’d to remarkably precise detail using the Truck Builder tool. Available features can be examined online, and trims and packages will include expanded information to help the buyer make those selections in an informed and immersive way.

The customer now has access to a vast trove of information about the Pioneer and a fast, seamless virtual experience to become deeply familiar with the product before even interacting with a sales professional from one of Mack's dealers.

The primary difference between how the Pioneer is configured in Truck Builder versus Granite, Pinnacle or other popular models is an element that will allow for comparing cab configuration and trim packages. The tool features the ability to choose pre-selected packages based on need. These package options streamline the online configuration process significantly when designing a truck spec for a specific job.The process will be updated, seamless and scalable for a single truck, or an entire fleet. Whether choosing from a choice of speedometer settings to multiple axle configurations, Pioneer builders can create their truck from a phone or workstation using Mack's Truck Builder tool.

Mack has long been an innovator in virtually building a truck into reality. In 2018, Mack was first truck company to roll out an online configurator, starting with the highly customizable Granite model. Since then, the tool has become the gateway to Mack, and Pioneer will be the eighth model customers can configure this way.

Mack Models you can build virtually

The Pioneer has four exterior trim packages, each of which can be selected from the Truck Builder. The packages range from a no-frills graphite base to a shiny, chrome-all-over premium choice. The full range of exterior trim packages include:

The Truck Builder Pioneer platform offers buyers an immersive 3-D view of each truck from multiple angles of the exterior and an expansive interior view. Users can customize their trucks far beyond the exterior with configuration options going down to deep detail. Interior options for the Pioneer will be divided into three levels, from no-frills to all the comforts of home in the Elite. The three levels:

• Comfort
• Preferred
• Elite

All three levels offer the most intricate options down to the door panels, with purposeful design, driver ergonomics/comfort, and safety in mind. Buyers can use the Truck Builder tool to choose the specific features that fit their taste and purpose.

More customizable options

The goal of the Truck Builder is to get the buyer "most of the way there." This foundational work online then prepares the dealer sales professional for a better, more customized conversations with the Mack customer so that they get exactly what they want. And with the Pioneer, the experience is meant to be even more enhanced.

From cyber to sales

Once the prospective Mack customer has finished configuring their Pioneer online, the specs are sent to the dealer, and they'll work with the customer to finalize their truck. However, when a customer talks to a salesperson at the dealership, most of the customer's configuration work is done. The salesperson, who is an expert regarding Mack products, can help the customer to different options or specs more suited for the application and the truck's anticipated operating conditions.

The Mack Truck Builder is more than pure specs and options. Everything in the truck’s consideration process is under one virtual roof, including financing options. After a customer has completed the Truck Builder platform, they can save their truck as a downloadable PDF. Work in progress can be saved, if a customer is interrupted before completing the process and revisited at a convenient time.

More than ever, customers can be part of building, customizing, and configuring their Mack.
